I went on their site and it said that they're recording their new season this summer and I want to go there and be in their audience.

to be in the audience. You have to register an interest in the shows you want to be part of an audience in, and they will contact you back with the date and send you the tickets.
There are other similar sites out there who give out free audience participation tickets.
This is one of such, that I have used and they really do send out free tickets else, ask you to collect them.

I'm sure it has got to be New York City since Meridith Viera is also on the Today Show you might try contacting them off the web site and ask about tickets to the show.
