No, there's not going to be any American civil war. That would require Americans to get off their couches and computers and put down their cell phones and that's just never, ever going to happen. There's also the fact that nobody wants the US. -Highest debt of any nation in human history; no universal healthcare; 3rd World levels of crime and gun violence; all messed up politically, economically and societally; fewer rights and freedoms than modern nations... Nobody in their right mind wants that. America's not the prize that Texas judge seems to think it is. There's also the fact that no nation can be ceded to the United Nations. The real world simply doesn't work that way. The UN is a bunch of countries that sent their representatives to represent their interests. The UN is not a country. It's not a world government. It doesn't have the ability or resources to run a nation like that Texas nutjob thinks. Frankly, the US needs to get over the 20th Century because American Isolationism is making the US look like idiots in front of the whole world for not knowing how the real world really works. It's way past time that the US realizes it's part of a planet filled with hundreds of countries and that the US is not the centre of global attention or the star of the show.

Fighting started at Fort Sumter, South Carolina April12, 1861. Lee surrendered his Army of Northern Virginia on April 9, 1865, at Appomattox Court House. Johnston surrendered his troops to Sherman on April 26, 1865, in Durham, North Carolina. On June 23, 1865, at Fort Towson in the Choctaw Nations' area of the Oklahoma Territory, Stand Watie signed a cease-fire agreement with Union representatives, becoming the last Confederate general in the field to stand down. The last Confederate naval force to surrender was the CSS Shenandoah on November 4, 1865, in Liverpool, England.

From this it looks like open hostilities existed from April 12, 1961 to Nov 4, 1865.

It encompassed 1861-1865; I don't know the months it started and ended so I can't get more specific.
