Slightly after 10pm, Sean and his wife Gina were talking in a kitchen. Gina was still wearing her work clothes - a black suit - single breasted jacket and a matching short skirt. Her husband Sean was in a blue sweat suit. Gina had just made a decision asking her husband to stay home full-time.

"Gina, you want me to be a househusband?" asked Sean.

"Yes Sean, I don't want you having to drive a cab anymore."

"But Gina, I'll be bored all day. We have no kids," replied Sean.

"Well, sweetie, nothing would make me happier than to have your baby. However, I'm trying to make partner at the law firm. We always said one parent would be home. It makes sense for you to do that. It also makes sense to start now. As for being bored, you will have a full slate of responsibilities: Meal Preparation and Planning, Laundry, Cleaning, Dishes, Grocery Shopping. You'll be busy all day! What do you say?"

"Gee, I Don't know Gina. That sounds like a lot of work for not getting any money for it and plus it is a big risk"
"Oh, I see. So, basically it is ok for so many women in the world to do this but when I mention this to you it is no. Why is that, Sean?"
"Gina, it is a big change to ask of me. I've been driving the cab for many years and even though it don't pay as much as you being a lawyer; I still feel pride in it and feel like by contributing financially it helps some".
"Sean, I know there are no guarantees in life and even in marriage and love but you have to trust me on this one. I love you and want to have your baby but I don't want the baby being raised by a stranger in a daycare. You are a wonderful man and I know would be a great father. Who better to be with the child than a parent".
"Oh, Gina, when you put it that way. I will give my 2 weeks notice tommorow. I love you and will do the best I can to take care of our home and eventually our baby also.", said Sean meaning it but also thinking in the back of his mind that if it don't work out; Gina will be paying him big bucks in child support and alimony.
THE END.

That would made sense to me if we had kids. You want to make a partner on the law firm, fine. I suuport you, but with no babies in the future I just can't just be home. Laundry, dishes were not a problem when we were in college, we had part time jobs and classes all day and the dishes were always done. Gina, are you embarrased abot me driving a cab? Am not good enough to you anymore? I was good for you when I worked extra-shifts to help you through college... I'm not ashamed of my occupation. Are you?

So Sean agreed to be a stay at home house-hubby. Before long he was quite efficient at housework and had everything finished up before 10:00am every day. He would lounge around the house in his boxers after while banging all the other bored housewives in his neighborhood all afternoon until his powerful and in charge wife came home to give him another "honey do" list and his daily allowance.
