A broad range of digital entertainment content such as music video clips, movies and sports programs can be provided on UMD. To protect this entertainment content, a robust copyright protection system has been developed which utilizes a combination of a unique disc ID, a 128 bit AES encryption keys for the media, and individual ID for each PSP hardware unit.

Is that the only reason you're considering the PSP. Anytime I decide to buy a product I do ask Yahoo! Answers then do a little research. But with the debating three you're considering are some tough choices. To tell the truth, the PSP is a PS3 Handheld, it has the same features and interface. The PSP has more than just free Wi-Fi Web Browsing. It does so much, Of Course it plays music but not only MP3 now. You can now play AAC (iPod Format) Files and WMA (Windows Media Audio). You can also put MPEG-4 Format Videos on the PSP. And Even Photos. And Take Pictures and Video from a connectable USB Camera and store directly to Photo or Video. You also have PSPTV2Go Allowing you to watch TV from home to your PSP. Last but not least RSS Feeds. Using WLAN you can stream music from a URL (link) to perserve memory storage on your Memory Stick Pro Duo. Oh and did I forget it plays all new and next-gen titles and UMD Movies. The PSP is a powerhouse of a media device. People are lucky this device only costs $199.99. That is so cheap and you definetly gets your money worth. More Features To Come.

It all depends on what you are going to do with the player. If you are planning on using it to listen to music, radio, videos, and view photos choose the Zune. If you are wanting to play games and all the features I listed above except the radio choose the PSP. I have both, I just bought the Zune today. Also, with the PSP you have to buy memory sticks to store your files which could end up to a lot. Hope this helps!

PSP is a lot better.
Microsoft made Zune way too restrictive.
If you want a dedicated media player the iPod Video is the best and will play anything.
Why even bother with Zune?
Zune is a failed project.
All of you Zune lovers can probably get a good deal on a Sony minidisk player too.

PSP is better than the Zune because The PSP can play music, Videos, games, surf the web, download photo, sand many more in a lower price. A zune can only play videos and music. PSP is much better than Zune.

As a dedicated media player, the Zune is better as the battery lasts longer.
As an all around media player, games console, Internet browser and optional PS3 controller, the PSP is the sole competitor.
