Ahhhh....there's the rub. I think they got mad when he won despite their best efforts to the contrary and then he won re-election rather easily despite them doubling their efforts. They only support the President that they voted for.

No they just angry because they have too much free time. So they are getting high, angry, and Trying to "Change the worls". All these efforts is to make their patethic lives look more meaningfull.
