I know that this sounds like a prime invitation for off-color humor, but please resist the temptation: I need this information for work, and haven't been able to find it anywhere else. What does the No-Kink function accomplish?

A regular hose bibb will point the outlet basically downward, which can cause you to kink the hose just beyond the outlet.

A No-Kink Hose Bibb has the outlet angled outward so that the hose is less likely to kink just beyond the outlet.

If you put "no kink hose bibb" into Google or some other search engine you should be able to see pictures of the difference between it and a standard hose bibb.

Non-kink hose bibb is angles out about 45 degrees instead of almost straight down. This helps to prevent the hose kinking when being pulled out.

In the USA an exterior household hose bibb is typically 3/4" GHT Male outlet thread designed to connect to either a 3/4" or 1/2" supply line. In the industrial sector you will occasionally find 1" NPSH Male hose outlets where a higher flow rate (volume of water) is required. A standard garden hose could NOT directly connect to these outlets. If you want to use ONLY a 3/4" Garden Hose (with GHT) off the 1'pipe, you could get a either 1) a 1" X 3/4" pipe reducer, and a 3/4" hose bibb OR 2) a 1" ball valve and a 1" MNPT X 3/4" MGHT adapter If you want to be able to use the line for BOTH the higher 1" NPSH line and the common 3/4" GHT, you could get 1) a 1" ball valve and a 1" MNPT X 1" MNPSH adapter, and a 1" FNPSH (with gasket) X 3/4" MGHT OR 2) a 1" WYE Ball Valve with a 1" MNPT X 3/4" MGHT adapter on one outlet for common garden hose (GHT), and a 1" MNPT X 1" MNPSH adapter on the other outlet for 1" NPSH hose.

A no kink hose bib has a larger angle to it. It points closer to straight out than a regular bib.
