I think it's the least we could do to honor the people who died as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and subsequent events.

Wow. I guess honoring innocent civilians who died in a horrible manner, at the hands of terrorists, isn't worthy of a holiday?

Where are all the patriots? Everyone places a blame and points a finger...but very few care of the nearly 3,000 innocents (98% civilian) who died this day.

Casey: excellent point and observationl.

I agree it should be a National holiday......we have others that mean
so little and this one that affected an entire nation has been
minimized.; also include the attack on Pearl Harbor.

BS!

I think the best way of honoring the people that died there would be to impeach Bush for failing to properly defend this country against the Terrorists attacks after he refused and ignored President Clintons information about their threats, spent 40% of his time his first year in office immediately prior to 911 on Vacation - and despite his lies - He nor his Administration did "everything possible" to prevent 911!

Beside we have wayyyyyyyyyyyy too many Federal Holidays as it is now!!!!!!!!!!

No...why on earth would we celebrate a terrorist attack? So far we have had more deaths in Iraq[our vindication] than in 911...are you aware of the money the survivors have gotten from this? Are you aware that our soldiers who are murdered and their survivors pretty much can count on enough money from the Govt....to keep them below the poverty line? Their death benefits might pay for a funeral.
So whats to celebrate?
