That they really WERE my parents and I wan't adopted. Still holding out some hope for swtiched at birth, though.

When I was much younger, I was mortified when I found out that my Dad had once upon a time been engaged to a girl who was not my mother!!!
My mother is an ex-Catholic Nun - she was a goody-two-shoes, so there's not a lot that's mortifying hiding in her past!

I had some other kids in my class tell me about sex when I was in grade school. I could not believe it at the time. It was not during school but just outside playing in a fort or something. It really was quite a shock.

I found out my dad had sex with my aunt before he married my mother . Also I found out my mom dated 3 brothers all at the same time . It was information I could have gone without ever hearing .

They both did a lot of things, but I don't think anything mortified me.

When my mom was in nursing school, they used to practice injections on oranges (makes sense, because oranges kind of have the consistency of an arm.)
But they used vodka, and then they'd eat the oranges few days later, after the alcohol seeped through.

My dad got arrested for streaking at a football game in college. Its pretty funny, but embarrassing too. My mom's high school boyfriend is on death row in Ohio for murdering his mistress and love child. Pretty vile.

my mom was at a college party a hundred years ago and a car pulled into the driveway and someone yelled, it's the cops! my mom flushed an entire bag (I don't know how big it was) of pot down the toilet, and it turned out it wasn't the cops. doh!

My dad had been married before. My mother always spoke against divorce and told us never to married someone who had been married before she thought it was a sin, (very old fashioned) yet we found out that our father had beendivorced before?????

My Mom got breast implants in the 70's.
I found out 3 years ago....I don't know where my sisters and I got our ample bosoms from now.
