Still? I wasn't aware it was ever a requirement. I've known too many flat broke couples to believe it's important to everyone.
Money is an issue, bills must be paid. For me, as long as he can take care of himself financially and have enough left over to go out and have fun sometimes or an occasional weekend away, then that's fine...because that's the minimum requirement for myself as well.
I don't want or need to be supported, but I also don't want someone who can never go out and do anything (even dutch) because of lack of funds.

For some. "It's better with cheddar" is the new vernacular, though. I'm no golddigger but I see where they're coming from. I let my heart choose, though and it does very well. Financially and romantically, too.
