no that is just dumb. most people need them to live there lifes. the only ban should be in cars. but otherwise a ban on cell phones is just dumb. come on, ask yourself, how much do you use a cell phone? and would you walk to a designated spot just to use your cell phone? also what would you do if you had a child get hurt and go to the hospital? would you really take the time to walk to a "designated spot" just to be able to see if they're ok? no you wouldn't!

I find cell phones irritating, especially on buses and trains and small spaces.

But I find bans very threatening. ONce you start to ban things, it becomes easier and easier and people get more and more used to giving up their freedom. I think the ban on smoking in public places is a terrible thing, and I look forward to the day when common sense reigns.

We are a country built on the concept of individual freedom and every time that is taken away - small though the freedom may be - we have weakened the country yet again.

A ban on cell phones? Absolutely not.

No. I would expect people to be mature enough to have some respect for others as to when (and when not to!) use cell phones. It does bother me when I see people who I know cannot walk and chew gum @ the same time trying to drive and talk on a cell. Scary...

I would support a ban for anyone under the age of 25. What a waste of time and resouses.

confident, i might help a regulation in my state to limit cellular telephone use on a similar time as driving. i've got been in the back of too lots of people who're weaving between lanes or dashing down the line with their eyes concentrated on their telephones. Seat belt use rules have been unpopular yet have stored many lives. i think of a ban on cellular telephone use on a similar time as driving might additionally be unpopular yet i'm specific it might additionally save many lives.

I think that would be a great idea. That would prevent people talking on cellphones from bothering people. Like in a movie theater, they should have certain screens for people who use cellphones and others where they can't so it wouldn't bother people who want it to be silent while they are watching a movie. That is a great idea!

yeah, I wish they would ticket people for talking in the movies and while driving. oh yeah, and when you're on a date and the guy answers a call from his ex. he should be banned from using a phone again ever.
