Retired Miami Heat guard Tim Hardaway said Wednesday ``If you have 12 other ballplayers in your locker room that's upset and can't concentrate and ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT HIM (the gay player) in the locker room or on the court or whatever, it's going to be hard for your teammates to win and accept him as a teammate.'' what is it this neanderthal mind of Hardaway's thinks they should be worried ABOUT? lol

Well, if Hardaway is like most other homophobes, he's probably terrified that deep down, he's gay too. Maybe he doesn't want any competition in the locker room. Maybe he's afraid that another gay man will pick him up on their gaydar and he would be outed. Maybe he's a "hater," who deep down, is jealous of all the action his openly gay teammates are having.

Whatever, he's like a lot of jocks who spend an enormous amount of time taking showers with other naked men - and what could possibly be more gay than that?!?

ask urself this question....why do they wait until they are retired to come out the closet like that guy ameachi did??? is it that they dont want to blow all the endorsement deals and money??? or is it that they enjoy seeing their teammates naked in the lockerroom?? there is truly no way of knowing.... i think players should have their own showering quarters to avoid the fear of being watched by a potential gay teammate...because it is a horrible thing to find out that someone on ur team is in the closet and had the opportunity to see you naked every night in the shower room... tim hardaway especially has the right to say something after a video of him naked and showering has been plastered over all these gay websites.... reporters should not be allowed in the lockerroom when the players are changing...and the players themselves should have some type measures taken to insure their privacy both from reporters and "closeted-teamamtes".... in this "Big-Brother" age we live in..with all these camera phones and hidden cameras..... Trust Me Those Players Need To Watch Out !!!!

Tim Hardaway---may have issues with his own sexuality even though he may or may not have ever had sex with a man. He may just be worried that these gay men would get annoying in the locker room....i mean hey...sometimes I would get upset if a girl who I don't like was looking at me.

HOWEVER

being told that I'm cute or attractive is always a compliment I'm always ready for.

And it's no different when a man says that I'm attractive. Sure I may not be attracted to them...i don't feel uncomfortable when another guy looks at me in the locker room...provided that they don't get annoying. I've been to gyms in Hollywood were I'm sure gay guys were at....I was naked and I really didn't care. I'm ok...why wouldn't Tim Hardaway....he just have issues with himself....EVERYBODY IS A LITTLE ATTRACTED TO THEIR OWN SEX....it's when you have issues that you start to hate other groups

Them banning or postponing him is the right element to do. he's in the wide-spread public eye and is favourite with any comments he makes would nicely be offensive to others. His pastime is to play basketball, no longer tell the international what his homophobic perspectives are. If he had stated some thing racist, a similar element would've occurred to him. He can hate whomever he needs yet he needs to come across techniques to save his yap close and or no longer do it in an offensive way. His apology become lame at perfect. Hate in any type should not be tolerated. those who're shamelessly hateful should not be rewarded, they must be shown that purely because they have an opinion, that would not make it precise to voice it in such an offensive way. i'm no longer gay and that i become indignant through his comments. He needs to strengthen up and purely manage the actual undeniable reality that no longer actually everyone appears to be like like him nor do they care to take heed to his hateful comments on human beings he deems disgusting. it truly is HIS opinion and not in any respect even a nicely formed one. he's an overpaid, pampered brat. He needs a timeout.

I think you have to understand his point. How would you feel if you were in the locker room with this player? Or even in the shower? It does leave a violated feel to the hetrosexual, does it not? And lets be REAL. You know during sometime during the shower or dressing period, he was checking somebody out. (Tell me I'm lying.) Personally, I think that "Gay" players should just be honest. Then maybe they could seperate shower and dressing time between the two, hense making it easy for both sides. And how can youcall Hardaway a bigot? He was honest in his opinion UNTIL the guy called him "Homophobic and a bigot." (And wouldn't you be upset by that on national RADIO?)

Pure ignorance. It amazes me that some straight man thinks a gay man is coming on or attracted to them. Just because he's gay doesn't mean he finds every man attractive! He's probably had an bad experience or is gay himself! Why else would he care?! When exactly was the last time lil bit stepped on the court or a locker room himself?? He'd be amazed in how many gay men are in the locker rooms!

I totally agree with Martin.
Any who has such a problem with gay people like retired Miami Heat guard Tim Hardaway and osmarickabdulla probably has been brainwashing during their childhood to hate gay people or they're a victum of sexual abuse.

It's all about FEAR. He is afraid and insecure. He's afraid some gay dude is going to peep at his tiny wee-wee in the locker room. It's been proven that those who feel strongly anti-gay are insecure in their own sexuality and often gay themselves. I suspect Hardaway gets an erection when he thinks about gay men, and that confuses and frightens him, so he lashes out with his hateful blatherings. As they say, it's a thin line between love and hate!! LOL!!

Look its like this,

A woman would not want to share a locker room and shower facility with a straight man, why would a straight man want a gay man in the same locker room or shower? Makes sense.
