I am a single mom who now lives in NC who is STILL fighting for Child Support in Texas. My oldest son is about to be 17 and we have gotten a total of $905.66 from him. I have called and called so many times that it just just unreal. I have requested everything and anything and have gotten nothing in return. This is unfair to our children and the people who are suppose to be on our side to help us are not helping us. I cant hire anyone from the outside to help because of it being linked to TAGO. Anyone have any idea's? I am willing to work with anyone and everyone else interested in finding these adsent parents! He has been in so much trouble with the law there with drugs and so forth so I dont understand why he is not locked up or something over this. My son deserves his child support!! And so many other children do to!! Email me with any ideas or anything. I am looking at starting a yahoo group to get more ppl together to help each other if possible!!!

Contact the Texas Attorney General. He is the elected official in charge of monitoring, regulating, and enforcing Child Support in Texas. You will not need an attorney, and they will do all the leg work to get this father to pay what he owes.

You need to actually open a case with the Texas Attorney General's office. You can do it online. They will ask for any information you have on the dad's whereabouts and any other details you might have on him. They will take him to court if they can find him. But you have to open a case with them....just calling won't do anything. Also, it does not cost you anything to open a case with the AG's office. They do not represent you or the dad, but they are working to collect the money that is owed. Good luck.

if he is working a real job that takes taxes out of his pay, then a large portion of his tax return should go directly to you for back child support. not totally sure about this, but i think it is possible for him to be put in jail for this. hope this helps, good luck!

It's your fault: you picked a loser and now are surprised when a loser acts like a loser.
