You prepare yourself for post-law enforcement career opportunities such as managing a criminal justice-related businesses or consulting firm.

You would qualify to be a police officer in some jurisdictions. It's unlikely you'd qualify for forensics. Maybe parole officer, but again, it depends on the region. Probably not dept. of justice unless you were already a police officer.

Check with the police department/parole department in your area and see what they require of their applicants.

I don't recommend the online programs in this field. Do you have no other options? If it's at all possible for you to attend school in person, that would work out better in terms of employability once you graduate. A lot of the police forces are cracking down on online programs, fearing that they are diploma mills.

I believe U Phoenix offers this, but their graduation rate is only about 4%. Its highly likely that you'd start the program there but not finish it. I'm concerned.

If you can find a way to attend on campus, check out the program at your local community college. Not only will it save you money, but you'll also be more likely to actually graduate.

Good luck!
