yeah it does effect their studies.

under 14 is too young to be bothered about wearing make up and there is definitley time for tht.

nothing wrong if the little ladies want to look attractive for some special occassion. but to school every day they must look like students and not models or actors or as if they r going to a party and not to school.

elders/parents/teachers must correct them if any child seems to be obsessed with make up etc rather than concentrating on studies.

Girls that age are in training to become women. They're learning how to flirt, how to dress, how to put on make up, all of that good stuff. And it may sound unimportant, but all of those things are part of the everyday lives of women. Like anything else, if you don't keep your priorities straight, your studies can suffer. But that is up to the girl in question. Either way, they need to learn these things at some point. What would be wonderful is if girls were kinder to each other and mentored each other in these things, so we learned faster how to look great and still look natural at the same time. Instead, we often have to learn from TV and movies, which of course is over doing it.

Girls between 12-14 are NOT small. Ladies are born to dress differently. They want to show, to attract. Small girl (-7) also over dress up. Mothers tell them to over dress up. Girls watch their mothers over dress up.
Girls above 10 should avoid skirt in school. It is unsafe. It attracts bad eyes.

I agree, but also disagree with Vix. Girls need to learn how to use make-up and clothes as well in moderation (with clothes needing to be more modest instead of making them look much older than they are...it sends the wrong message). But I disagree in the way of all women needing to do this. I used to wear make-up but then realized I look much better without it. My face can breathe, and I look more like a real person rather than a clown. Just because a girl is approaching her teens or is in her early teens doesn't mean she HAS to wear make-up. And as for the first poster...Since when do you HAVE to wear make-up if you're a cheerleader? Either you live in LA or it's the girls in your squad that are saying this.

It does affect their school performance if that's all their doing...opening up their desk durring class to apply more foundation or lipstick, constantly taking bathroom trips to re-apply more. So just what are they getting out of class? What colors make their eyes pop?

It's fine if girls want to experiment, but keep the severe experimenting of make-up at home, and don't go outside with it. Girls that young who apply so much and dress more provocative just make others think that they're being wh*res, and who wants to send that message?

Ok,
A lot of girls do this because they dont have fathers or they dont have a father who cares about them. When you are a young girl like that you crave for attention. (trust me...I know) Many girls these days try to get attention by showing off their bodies. They try to please men by their close or their hair ect...
