I just got my top lip pierced and it's fine, except I think the stud might be too little, because it's sinking in my lip/skin, it's not sticking out.... is this normal

If I just got it done a couple days ago... Do you think it's wise to take it out and try to get a new one?

You just got it a few days ago, chances are you lip is swollen. It happens with most piercings. Usually piercings are done with initial jewelry that it longer in length to adjust for swelling.

Proper cleaning and small doses of Motrin or Midol can help with swelling, but if it doesn't go down in a few days, contact your piercer and see about getting a longer stud put in. Also use care when you eat and sleep, movement and pressure on the piercing can prolong swelling.

Whatever you do, don't try and take it out and change it on your own, the piercing is very new and changing the jewelry can harm the piercing, at least when a piercer does it, they reduce damage and pain done.

Just give it a few more days, keep it clean. If the area becomes painful as a result of swelling and the jewelry, see your piercer immediately.

i have my bottom bre pierced. It is normal for it to look like it is too small but it isnt. And i would advise you not to take it out it could get infected. Leave it in for at least aweek in a half and then if you still think you need to change it go ahead. P.S. the other people who answered your question dont know what they are talking about. My source is my dad he does pierceings at limited tatooing of Fayetville
