When I couldnt stop thinking of him, when all I wanted to do was be with him, when I had genuine concern for his well being and when I could look him the eyes and not want to look away.

It was a blind date - we were set up by his sister, who approached me in a nail salon to say I was perfect for her brother. It was the best first date I'd ever been on. A month later we went ring shopping, 3 months later he proposed. We'll be married 2 years now in September - we've known each other 4 years. At the time of the proposal, I was 25 and he was 32.

It just came to me. It's hard to explain. He was in a vulnerable position and needed me to be there for him and I realized at that moment that I loved him and would do just about anything to make him feel better. It was a wonderful revelation.

After I'd been dating my husband for a while, there came a night when one of my exes (My daughters father) was calling me and harrassing me. I was home alone at my apartment and I was in my living room crying because the phone wouldn't stop ringing and I heard a knock at my door. I went and looked through the peephole and it was my husband. I opened the door crying and he said "I saw he was in town-- I came by to check on you."
I melted.

When my man started moving his stuff into my place and I realised I didn't want to stop him. (This is significant, because I'm a bit of a loner and had lived by myself for ages.) Haven't looked back.

When I found myself mooning over a guy who was the COMPLETE opposite of what I usually looked for (physically) I knew it was love...because it was him I wanted...not just his bod next to me.
