No i haven't but my youngest daughter was really poorly from a young age and we presumed it was colic, she used to scream with griping stomach pains - a friend recommended COLIEF infant drops if you read about these they do something to the lactose in babys milk.

Might not work for your baby but worked a treat for mine. Available from Boots, quite pricey (£10.00 a bottle) but you only add a few drops.
Good luck, its not nice having a poorly baby when all you want is sleep xxxx

Signs of lactose intolerant baby maybe spitting up after eating or vomiting. If someone close in the family is lactose as well. You should try a soy based formula. I use Isomil Advance Soy for my son (he is lactose as well).
Good luck.

I'm lactose intolerant so the dr. said there might be a chance that the baby is. I'm using Similac Lactose Free and it seems like his gas pains are getting better.

My son was thought to be lactose intolerant, and he experienced severe tummy aches prior to being diagnosed. Since I was nursing, I had to cut out all cow's milk and related products from my diet. You should talk to a pediatrician or your health visitor for more information. Eventually, my son did grow out of it, but a number of babies will continue to have the allergy. As I understand, they cannot officially test for lactose intolerence until the infant is able to drink cow's milk directly.

A very young baby should not have cows milk/formula...if the baby is very young you can still try to breastfeed with the help of a lactation consultant. It is very rare that a baby has lactose intolerancehttp://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/babyills/babyallergies/1201464.html

My doctor thought my son was lactose intolerant because he threw up so much so we switched to soy. It made it worse though, come to find out he has reflux and had to be switched to Enfamil AR. It is working well now.

My oldest son, when he was new born had to be switched on formulas 3x till I found the right soy formula for him.Soy formulas were fairly new then. When he was 10 months old we were living in an isolated area in N.Cal when I had to give him cows milk inlieu of his formula,he got constipated.I then switched him to goats milk which he tolerated much better.Aft er he was a year old I gave him cows milk and he seemed to handle it better at first, but thats when he started getting colds and ear infections. He also seemed to be fairly cranky!I attributed this to our unhappy environment. But later as he got older and could vocalize his thoughts better ,he told me that cows milk made him feel like throwing up!I truly believe that we as humans are not meant to drink cows milk.
