Depends what country you are in there are loads of extras agencies you generally have to go in and sign up pay a small fee get a picture taken and than wait and see... I know a few people who have done it, they loved it. Just keep an eye on the papers or go online...

Where do you live? In L.A. and N.Y. it's easy as pie to be an extra. There are tons of places to sign up and start working. Some are scammers but they don't charge much and you can call it tuition. As far as being in commercials, if you have to ask...

they have casting calls for extras... they usually don't get paid but they do get fed at a buffet.. it is lots of fun..
so just look for casting calls in the newspaper ..
but if you want more than that .. you need a head shot picture and an agent and have him find you work

You don't need any experience.Go to casting calls and hope you're in the right place at the right time.
