boil for 3 minutes, even when new, each day, should if dropped as well. For a newborn this is a must, after two months, if baby is healthy, steralizing can be less. Some germs won't hurt and are good for immunity, but some are not, too much can be hazardous. I'm sure you can figure that out on your own.

If you boil the kettle and put the binki in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them they will be sterile and you don't have to worry about keeping an eye on them!

Yes, you can, but not for long. make sure the water is already boiling, and only do it for 2-3 mins at the most. Because heating up that rubber can reduce the elasticity so don't do it for long. Silicone you don't have to worry about so much but I would still sterilize it for that time limit.

a little dirt wont hurt your child.
In fact (after the first few weeks), it will strengthen their immune systems.
Sterilizing everything your baby touches is neither necessary, or even a good thing to do.
For Binky's- dishwasher seems to work fine.
