To win the World Cup?
Three in India out of six in the world.Add to this the bowling attack which is getting better.
Some agile and energetic fielding will do the trick for India.
India should not lose this chance. Is it not?

I am simply saying with so much wealth should not our players put in extra effort. If they do they can definitely achieve it because we now have a balanced team. The opportunity should not be lost.

Don;t forget that these three walas took India to the finals in 2003.
It won't be easy to India or any other team to win the cup.
Some real effort should make them hot contenders.

As far as the talented players are concerned, this is the most talented India has ever sent to any world cup. If Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Ravi Shastri, K Shrikkant were the top most Indian Players in their time, then Sachin, Rahul, Saurav, Sehwag, Yuvraj , Dhoni and Kumble are the top most players of the current era. And this will be the last chance for Sachin, Rahul, Saurav and Kumble. Indians lose the matches mostly in their minds and if they can confidently discipline their playing abilities, they can win this world cup.

3 players don't win you the world cup and certainly records are purely numbers. It's what you do on the day and how you have helped your team to the finish line that counts.

A matchwinning 28 not out from Bhajji is more valuable than a Sachin 100 sometimes. Keep your things in perspective.

Concerns for India are the lower-order batting, bowling and fielding. They have to be consistent, focussed and committed.

And Greg Chappell is the best coach India has had. Some of you people might not like his hard tactics but it's what was needed. Look at Sourav's and Zak's comeback. Had he not shaken them up last year, they would be still fat and runless. With him as coach, Ganguly realised he couldn't just be in the team coz he was captain. He hasn't scored a 100 since 2003! So stop blaming Chappell and look at the facts!

Yes, with the ODI becoming more and more batsmen game, this is the chance India should not loose. 3 10000 walas and more than that followed by Yuvraj, Dhoni, sehwag and Uttapha. & batsmen, each on their day capable of making their team win. We should lift the World Cup. Our bowling surely getting better with Zaheer, Munaf, Agarkar, Sreesanth, Kumble and Harbhajan. Even Sachin, Ganguly and Sehwag can turn their hands.
fielding is a bit of concern, but not that great a concern.
Overall, if this team of India can not win, they would have to blamed for not believing in themselves.
I think its India's greatest chance as Aussies are down, RSA would like slow pitches and other teams be it Pak, S Lanka, England, N Zealand, West Indies and England, we can handle. If anyone can stop us, its going be lack of self belief in our players.

It's a fact that we've three 10000 walas but was that scored in team's best intrest. What happened in last world cup final we fell to chase 350 plus score.Look at at Austalia or RSA they play as team than indivisual. On any day they can beat any best of world team. That's the reason I don;t feel we've best chance to win world cup 2007.

No, because you should observe that batting average of none of them is above 50.moreover cricket is a team game ,even if you have 11 players in 10000 club if you do not have perfect coordination & if all players do not perform to their best chances of winning word cup are very less.

WINNING THE WORLD CUP DOESNT NOT RELY COMPLETELY ON THE SHOULDERS OF THE THREE 10000 WALA'S. IT IS COMPLETELY A TEAM PERFORMANCE.

AND WHY IS EVERYBODY AGAINST GREG CHAPPELL, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND??
I THINK HE IS ONE THE BEST COACH INDIA HAS EVER HAD AND WE STAEDILY GAINING MOMENTUM AND CONFIDENCE UNDER HIS COACHING.

WITH THIS TEAM AND THE CURRENT FORM OF THE PLAYERS INDIA SHOULD NOT LOSE THIS OPPRTUNITY ON ANY CONDITION.

These Walahs have scored 10,000 plus....
But how many matches India have won ??

Cricket is a team game. What relationship is there between an individual's 10,000 or 100 and team's win. Most of our 10,000 wallahs are quite selfish and self-centered.
They may score 15,000 or 20,000 - but India is not going to gain.

Well...as we have "Sachin,Saurav,Rahul" on which we can relai they have enough experiance. As i can see i'll say the youngsters doing well for india we have young and energytic player they are not afriad to jump on ball as our bowling attact also become strong defenately we are strong enough to win these world cup. But even thoe we need to rectify our mistakes and have to make strong unity, good understanding, enough effort , temprament as well.
