Choose an Issue/Event which I could use to analyze how the media manipulates society.
I already have written numerous topics down, just would like to get the global perspective, not just mine. Perhaps there's a larger thing I am missing.

Thanks,

VM

The media attempts to manipulate everything we see or hear. he reason for this is because they are themselves controlled by people or corporations that are themselves controlled by politicians and ultimately the leaders of our countries.

This ensures that what the government want us to see or hear is exactly what they determine.

As to the best topic to choose from.......very tricky....try global warming.....is it rcaused by humans....or is it natural.....but i suppose the question people really should ask....is, do you want to risk it if we are actually causing it....

The Media does no longer run the international; yet in case you pay interest in the documents, they play a huge position in talking what is going on in the international that you would no longer often see or listen. the problem besides the undeniable fact that with the media is it is impacts our lives with what to placed on, the thanks to eat or what to eat, and what kinda of stuff we ought to continually or ought to no longer watch. The media is likewise used through the govenment to regulate people's perspectives or votes on some thing they prefer. case in point Operation Iraqi Freedom, I went to Iraq and we not in any respect recieved fireplace once from the enemy; besides the undeniable fact that the media portrays it as that the militia is continually recieving fireplace each and on a daily basis or someone has died because of the severity of the fireplace. at the same time as in reality they are in trouble-free terms exhibiting the damaging outcomes of the conflict, they no longer regularly ever educate the solid outcomes of the conflict. the authorities is utilising this to help get help on pulling out of a u . s . that has already been takin over.

You can pick any event and see media manipulation ... 9/11, OJ Simpson trial, the war in Iraq, Angelina Jolie's adoption fiasco, the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, or even Anna Nicole Smith's death.

In each of them you can see the media's influence ... depending on which station you tune in, you will see their perspective, which is always, ALWAYS slanted, I don't care which media it is.

False reporting can alter opinions, allegiances etc. It could be easy for the media to target a Political figure with a smut campaign and change the outcome of an election.

Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a great example. The media for Arabic and muslim views favors the Palestinians while western media usually takes the side of Israel.

Terrorist put out false stories about abuse by the military, this has done more damage to the USA than any bombs.
Even some of the pictures they published sure looked phony to me,but the press ate it up to the detriment of the US military.
