I've decided that since so many people come on to Yahoo Answers and ask silly questions, I'd give it a shot. So my question is simply this:
WHY?

By silly questions I am not reffering to the ones that are simple. I'm referring to the silly ones. Like, "what kind of pie is in the sky". People do it all the time.

"Why" is a very common question in science.
"Because" is the best way to start the answer.
Why ask silly questions? (I prefer: why ask simple questions?)
Because they are good practice at asking serious questions later.
Asking questions is a skill. Like any other skill, it must be practised in order to be improved.

Some people actually ask serious questions and desire a serious answer. Sometimes people want to joke or be very immature. The immature think it is cute, especially given the anonymity the site offers people. Sometimes it is just good to act out a little bit.
