Ok these two shows by Simon Cowell. Each contestant has a maximum of 2 minutes to impress Simon and the other 2.
So say they viewed contestants for 8 hours non stop (no breaks) thats 240 contestants seen. These shows have thousands an thousands of people turn up each day to been seen by Simon.
My question is who views the other 10,000 people each day that cant been seen by Simon. Do other pannels put only the really good and really bad people through to Simon to be seen on TV?

Yeh, contestants go through 2 rounds of judges panels before they actually reach simon and the other two. These 2 rounds judge who has the best vocals etc and also who will be the funniest for the show. A mate of mine went for the audition in belfast and some 2 random men told him he wouldnt fit the bill

My Boyfriend and I have been debating this too!
The way we see it, there must be some kind of filtering process.
Someone or people must filter through all the thousands of applicants and only send on the ones that are really good or really bad or have something about them, onto see Simon.
We think this is the only way it could be done.
Either that or Simon Cowell is in fact a machine!

It is an ellimination process via other people before they even get any where near a judge.
Someone local phoned our local station as he was going to auditions and asked what song he should sing. He sang both and they were terrible but one was picked he was asked to call next day to see how he did.
He said it was just two men he did not know who they were just that they were part of production team they said no and that was it! he said you go through two or three of those before it is decided if you meet god aka Simon Cowell.
The worst of the worst with character go through a few sob stories and the best of the best that is why we end up with well rubbish. How do we know someone with real talent has not slipped through the net?
ps: I also believe that people like Leona are automatic through it is just they have failed to make her noticed any where else it is a spring board for THEIR people they fail to get off the ground and I bet i am right.

not in any respect have seen X-aspect or maybe heard of it. Stopped watching Idol after the season with Taylor Hicks. very last solid season, IMO. it is likewise dreadful how their contracts inhibit the fulfillment of a few winners.

They are called screeners. Simon is too busy to see all those horrible people.
