Birds have colours due due different colouring pigments in their body.All organisms have this ability. Including humans.That is why our skin is white,brown,black etc....

That's the way God created them . The State of Kansas would not agree with that, at least its education department. They just passed a law there banning any reference to " intelligent design , creation " in any science class. Darwin would have us think that those birds you speak of just decided to be the color they are on their own. I don't have enough faith to believe that !!
