Nah, threaten to have them all replaced by an all-in-one kitchen device. I hear you can get one from Argos for 30 quid. That should make them right miserable common kitchen appliances once more.

cant get much hotter than the coffee maker, break it to the blender if you want the blender will probably understand... i think everyone would...
