Rogues are really good with Raids and Bosses, but Hunters are really good with BG's. With bosses the hunters aggro too much because of their pets. So you could go either way. But I'd say rogue, because they are pretty good in BG's, but better with raids and bosses.

Edit:
from what said person below said. Hunters are REALLY fun. I have a hunter myself, it's my main. But I do have a rogue orc, only level 15, because they become boring. But they are better for fighting. But yeah, with what he said, hunters are pretty good with the traps and stuff, but you can barely do anything without getting aggroed. So, it kinda sucks.

Hunter is the best. I have a 60 orc Hunter and a 19 rogue twink. The Hunter is so much more fun, you can just sit back and pick of healers and casters all day long, ice trap the melee and never get hit. your pets are awesome for speel interruption and you are the best defense against rogues trying to gank flags.

If you enjoy ganking, I'd opt for the hunter... foes tend to worry more about the beast than they do the beastmaster. Plus, traps are very nasty. For BG's, opt for the rogue (as already mentioned). They make for excellent flag runners.

My personal favorite, though, is a druid... best of both worlds there.
