Yes. there should be a section on the summons for you to do that.

Yes, the summons will have a section allowing you to plead guilty in absence. But, the original notice from the police of the offence should have given you the option to admit your guilt together with an offer of the consequences without needing to have taken it to court

I think that you may have to turn up.
I did write and sent for set fine when I was in Singapore and the
offence occured in Malaya,This was acceptable in the 1960's.

Yes you can write to the court and you have to include your driving licence in case they put points on it.

yes you can.. you will receive a form in the post from the magistrates courts enabling you to plead guilty!.. if you want to plead not guilty you will have to go to the crown court
