The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

We must consider the fact (?) that God is not of this world. I hope we can agree about that - even if you don't believe he exists, the idea of God has always been (in more developed religions particularly) that he is not of this world. Now, let's not question then whether God should punish or reward us, since in your question you seem to take a priori that he should. If God is not of this world, he might have different values than us, who are from this world. That does sound logical, right? Next, if our values and our definitions of sins and punishment are of this world, it would also be logical that God's view of sin and punishment is not comprehensible to our way of thinking and perception. So, if we consider something a sin, we can not know does God view it as a sin; also if both we and God do view something as a sin, it is possible that the punishment that comes from God will not be by our measures, but by his, and maybe even not on this world, but in God's realm of existence. Also, if time is real for us, it could be relative to God, thus the punishment could come immediately from God's point of perception, but infinitely slow from our stand. Why not try to think in that direction? After all, this is the philosophy section...

I'm not too sure on what you are asking but if I'm correct this has been a question that only yourself can answer. Does God exist? We (society) has either been raised in our childhood to believe in God or to believe in the scientific aspect on evolution. I myself believe that God does exist and is here. Now in the book of Genesis it describes how the world was new a creation by God and also how He created Adam and Eve. Now you have asked if God was here and man had done a sin then why can't he/she be punished. If you read the Bible, it purely states that Adam and Eve were punished for their sins when Eve decided to eat the Forbidden Fruit. As you recall, God sent them out of the Garden of Eden. This was a punishment from God. Also if you read further in the book of Exodus (if I'm not mistaken) God punished the Pharoah Ramseus due to the slavery of the Jews and what he had done to them because he ignored the warnings from Moses and the pharoah didn't believe. So God sent down death and killed the first born male. So you see God does punish those. Now if you read in the New Testament Jesus states that God forgives all sins. So if one believes in Him and has God/Jesus in their hearts that God shall love them because we are all His children. I believe that if you commit a sin and sincerely ask for God's forgiveness that He in return will forgive you.He is not a hateful God but a Forgiven God and if you truely believe in Him that He will forgive you.We are not perfect and we don't live in a perfect world and God knows this. You have to remember that the laws back then where all this began were different from now. One has to adjust with the times. But you also have to remember that God wrote the Ten Commandments and those were His laws for man to follow. Please excuse some of my spelling. I hope this has helped to answer your question.

Because god does not make judgments, have desires or emotions, or have a will or a preference the way a man does. So if god exists it is not interested in punishing a man for a sin.

What is good for someone else may be bad for you.
What is bad for someone else may be good for you.
You may find someone who killed a man, but, what you actually dont know is that the man who got killed might have raped the killers sister. So, what you saw was the murder and not the rape. You have seen a man doing a sin, God has been why that happened and has judged whether that was a sin or not. Analysis can be done only at the end of the innings(after death).
Check out GARUDA PURANAM which talks about punishments after death at GODs court.

Dont think that god is somebody who is sitting on a jury and waiting to punish you for what you have done.
Suppose the person commits a sin and he gets a reward we people think that god is foolish to reward him and in the same way is if a good person gets a bad situation.

Now listen to the explanation.
case 1: Bad person
If he's destined to get 1Kg of gold today he may only get 1gm.
Do we know that he was destined to get 1Kg of gold?
Or can we completely deny that there is nothing destined for us.
we do not know.
We in Hinduism have something called KARMA
That is impresions that are formed on your mind
These impressions are eternal. They remain in your mind even after death.
These decide ur destiny. God doesnt have anything to do with punishment or sins

Case 2
Good person

If has got a small hurt in his leg,We feel that some injustice is done to that person but that is also totally wrong
It might have been even dangerous to his life or he may have been permanently disabled. This was prevented by his good deeds

With this I say that God is present and not responsible for punishments

God is not a kind of human being. 'He' can never be felt like air or water. The punishment u get does not come with a note about your past sin's. God gives us punishment and we have to keep it in mind that what sin's have we committed and why are we being punished.

Yes god is ultra modern now and using new technology to punish. In ancient times he call the souls in heaven and than decide to punish them. Now rate of sins are high and population is too much so God sent his office staff on earth with full power.
Now they are working as Doctor, advocate, police, jail officers,Income tax, sales tax officers.
They keep watch on our every sin and punish you at the earth only.

Dear Freind,
It is a welcome note that a thoght hs risen in your mind to know about GOD and HIS Existence.

Let me tell you, that ,the existence of God has been proved beyond doubt, by many seers, Sadgurus, prophets, and all spirutual thinkers ,who undertook the strenuous route and spent a major percent of their life say abot 50 to 60 years or so to get a glimpse of THIS LIGHT and know the real reality.

You have to read with faith the scriptures of any disciple, and with devoyion practice what has been said by those Enlightened souls.and if you are lucky ,you will be able to make progress and finally with YOUR PURUSHA PRAYATNAM, that is sincere faithful hundred percent effort , you may will be able to EXPERIENCE HIM.
Lt the Idea that there is some one called GOD is sitting on a throne ,somewhere ,high in the skies and is observing all what we do and give the reward or punishments as per what we do.This is TRASH.

You alone are responsible for what you have, what you feel...none else.

As the things i dream appear real until you wake up and say ''Oh what a beautiful dream'' ,similaarly we are all waking up into another dream. When we wake up from this dream then we wonde what reality is.

God IS NOT THAT EAY STUFF TO KNOW SO EASILY.HE IS NOT THAT EASILY REALISED BY OUR MINDS WHICH ARE COVERED with layers after layers of Ignorance.Unless we try and do peel off layer after other it is Highly difficult to get near to go in understanding this Abstact.
I wll just tell you a small example. Some body has completely dissenbled aaaa9removed part by part) of a wrist wath and there were several small wheels with teeth, small springs, screws ,jewels for the Bearings, plates etc etc.The person put all these things neatly on atable and told another you see these are the parts in a wrist watch, and hey are all fixed in such a way that if this wheel turns some ,say 60 time then this wheel go one step ahead.the force is in spring...BUT YOU SEE THE WONDER..NOBODY ASSEMBLED AND MANUFACTURED IT.JUST IT EVOLVED IYSELF LIKE THAT ..THERE IS NO CREATOR..your freind will laugh and doubt whether you have gone crazy. How can without somebody making it ,the wrist watch can cme into existence in aworking condition.....HE SAYS THERE IS A creator.

Show him the Solar system..tell him the earh rotaes round Sun like this and moon like this and they are going with such precision for millions of years and similarly all planets and explain how day and night are caused.Explain about theGreat Galaxy we are in and the uncountable galaxies there are in cosmos with a brilliant equilibrium..and finlly tell him that GOD CREATED THIS BIG VERY BIG THE BIGGEST COSMIC CLOCK....he laughs and says NO..They evolved LIKE THEY ARE ..There is NONE WHO CREATED THEM..no intelligence is behind it,he says. What can you do.

To undestand and realise GOD one has to do hard work ..approach a person copetent to lead you in the path, read a lot og original scripturs and try to grasp...do daily allotted work for this realisazation...and finally when you are blessed YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IT .

Dear,
GOD is here. everywhere and in everything. (Modern religious call it energy). Stone is also energy and tree is energy. It a MIGHTY NATURE. This what you call GOD manage and balance universe. GOD has system called Theory of Karma for human beings. What you call it Action-Reaction or Cause - Effect. What you will do, you will get. Now you can call it Good Karma or Bad Karma. That is appreciation or punishment by God.
