You've been brainwashed by the mainstream liberal media. While it is true that some rich people are miserly, the vast majority of people in the 50% tax bracket in the U.S. give to churches and/or charitable institutions. As a matter of fact, in the 1980's, which was the so-called "decade of greed," contributions to churches and charities hit record levels, and over 75% of those contributions came from people who make $150,000.00 a year or more. So don't believe what the Clinton News Network or the Communist Broadcasting Service has been telling you. Here's a better idea: Tell the disgruntled have-nots in the world to stop whining about the rich getting richer and have them get up off their lazy @$$es and EARN a living instead of expecting someone to hand it to them on a silver platter.

I find the middle class to be the most "greedy." If you want to overly generalize. The rich I find to be the most frivolous, and the poor to be the most generous. The rich tend to save and invest more money because they are afraid of being poor(maybe because they have it) . The poor tend to give too much of their assets away for different reasons (maybe constant contact with other needy people). And the middle class always want more than they can afford.

THat's a generalization, but to see it in a different way they are socialized differently than poor people. THink about it, this way if you were born poor or middle class and you work your way up to riches, you are more likely to want to either penny pitch, spend it all, and/or do a mixture of both and invest part of the money. And think about this way, a poor person can be just as greedy or greedier because they feel whatever they have is all that got, so sometimes they are less likely to give or to donate.
And as far as the old money person who were born wealthy and grew up in that society, they are taught to be a certain way mostly and it's normal for them to be spenders, and/or save a lot of their money for themselves and/or future generations.

Hey everyone is greedy, look at consumerism and debt in today's society.
We are generally jealous of the rich and so tend to see them as greedy.

there is something in human nature - when you have little it is easier to give this money away. And the more you have the harder it gets. I know that through my own experience. That is why do not like having too much - it somehow makes me a worse person, seriously, money is evil. Not that everyone who is rich is part of that evil, but it takes a strong and maybe noble person to not forget how to give.

How do you figure all rich people are greedy?...if their wealth was earned honestly and without running over anyone in the process, then it wasn't obtained through greed.
It's greed when it's ill-gotten.

It's not right to generalise like that. If a rich person truely knows what it's like to be poor, they have every right to be careful about how they spend or distribute their wealth. There is a difference between being greedy about how you accumulate wealth and being careful about how you spend it.

Because rich people have it in them to expand and get bigger, thus creating more and more wealth. I suppose on a smaller scale the rest of us not as well off are similar in a way.

I'm sure they're not all the same and not all greedy. Some I'm sure are very nice, generous and considerate people.

They have it, and are going to keep it. But, as they say, money can't buy happiness. Case in point is Anna Nicole Smith. Wealthy, but in my view had a very sad life.
