I know a silly question! I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my second and I didn't get to experience labor coming on naturally with my first so I really don't know what to look for or expect (I was induced at 37 with my first). Yesterday I kept having non-stop, back to back braxton hicks. Some were more intense than others, some made my cervix feel like it was being jabbed open! (May be that was the baby's head?) I see my doc today and he'll be checking my progress. Wish me luck and thanks in advance!

Definitely signs of progress. Just hang in there. I had those for about three weeks before I went into labor. So bad some times I couldnt walk or catch my breath. Youre certainly getting there.

Its not silly! Braxton Hicks and actual contractions did NOTHING to make my baby drop! I ended up having a c-section...that baby wouldn't go down! Sex, breaking the membranes... some of it helps, but not for all babies. Only them and God know when they are coming!!! Congrats! (and good luck!)

good luck, just a little info having sex softens your cervix well the sperm does so it make it easier to dilate all so do a lot of walking

its probably getting close- if you are having contractions and either want them to stop or speed up a warm bath does it. If they are BH they will stop and if they are the first stages of labor it will speed it up.

Your body is just preparing for delivery.
I wish you luck.....it won't be long now.
