Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania. It's has a long history, and therefore it's attractive for tourists.
It's rather large and interesting city. During 1920-s and 30-s it was a capital of Lithuania, built by Lithuanian architects. And therefore it has been considered as a very Lithuanian city, where Vilnius was known as the city that has a lot of Polish influence.
I visited it once I found it as a very interesting place.

It is a town in Lithuania, which was also at one time it's capital. I could check for greater details than this on Wikipedia, but than that would be cheating won't it.
