OK really need more information ...if just personal ..no not deductible...now if this is your business vehicle and use d for business...well if you are w-2 emp and u r not reimbursed for your mileage use form 2106 and see if this will benefit you (it is limited so it may or may not)
OK if you are a 1099 contract laborer or own your own business and use the vehicle to make the income you are claiming then yes this is a deduction...now u can get auto expense one of 2 ways...mileage or actual (this year they are paying 48.5 cents a mile WOW) actual expenses include fuel service maintenance and depreciation...neither however are to include mileage or expense to say the office itself...but from the office to the client is included...
one thing in deciding which to use , if this is the first year your vehicle is put in service....always always use mileage....if you choose mileage that first year you may then choose either actual or mileage in subsequent years, however if you choose actual expenses the first year you are pretty much locked into always claiming actual and most times u get alot more benefit from mileage.

oh and one of the answers here said you can not claim the purchase of new vehicle...while no you cannot claim the purchase...you do claim the sales tax as part of your itemized deductions...in addition to the sales tax figured using the irs formula...i had one client this year she and her husbad purchased 2 vehicles...sales tax combine d for vehincles 4050.00 big deduction they did not know about

Yes, as long as your vehicle is registered as a commercial vehicle for your business; otherwise, NO.
