Hey folks, I sense some venom here. I do have a legal doctor's excuse because I do have pneumonia, but I was just feeling a tad better today and having a little cabin fever wanted to get out for a while. Please cut me a break, here.

Go to work carrying a bottle of Robitussin DM and get your paycheck. Just say you ran out of medicine and thought you would drop by on the way to the drugstore. You also could be out of food and water so you needed to get out and re-plentish.

Yes you should call off if your sick. U don't want to get your co workers sick. Everyone gets sick. It's okay to call off but not if your sick like once a month.

Yep, I've done that. And in every job I've ever had.
And once, I even said it was because my mom had gotten into an accident. She really did get into an accident, but just a little fender bender. But I knew they'd think worse.
I know, I'm a terrible person.

Go in and get your paycheck. I would, just put on a big act. I've done it before, came in, acting horribly sick, and then when I walked out and was at a safe distance, I acted normal. :D

I have done it a number of times, just go in and tell them, if they ask only, that you are still under the weather. Carry a few tissues with you in your hand, and cough a few times while there.

Heck yea - a lot. But I don't stay home!! My boss is real cool - I tell him that's what I'm doing...he knows we all need mental health days. He's cool with it as long as we don't abuse it!
