Love him or hate him, how can anyone deny that President Bush couldn't intelligently answer an unrehearsed question if his life depended on it. I watched his recent press conference and cringed every time he opened his mouth. His attempts at humor failed miserably; his attempts at being witty fell flat; and of course, he didn't answer a single question. How can anyone support such a buffoon? Wait, let me guess. You support him for his courageous war on terror, right?

TO RYAN: First, what does Clinton's record have to do with Bush? Why do you constantly try to mimimize Bush's dismal record by bringing up issues with Clinton? Second, Bush's inarticulate manner of speaking is the least of his deficiencies. By ever measure that measures a president's performance, he fails miserably. And that's a painful fact.

TO ASLAN: Diplomacy? The man refuses to speak to Iran or Syria, and he inisists that he will take measures to "deal with Iran", even though he has no proof that they are supporting the terrorists in Iraq. Diplomacy does not exist with the Bush administration.

I heard it live on the radio and thought it was one of his better conferences.
Regardless of your position, you need to try and listen to the president objectively. I found it most helpful to listen on the radio rather than being distracted by the visual effects of TV.
Try closing your eyes if your watching him in TV. It helps your frame of mind.
I was happy to hear him talk about diplomacy in that conference. He's never even mentioned the word prior. I find hope in the fact diplomacy is now in his vocabulary. He must have looked it up in the dictionary.

It's truly sad that we have "selected" such a man as leader of our country. Out of 300 million people!

The rest of the world would be laughing at us if only they weren't afraid we'd invade them...
