I borrowed my friends 2GB SD card. I have a card reader installed on my computer( It works perfectly. I've used SD many times). This SD card works perfectly on my camera. But when I try to open it on the computer by double clicking the icon, It says " Error, Access denied". How can I READ the files from the card?

The card must be encrypted and won't work on your computer unless your friend tells you how to unencrypted it. Also what brand is the card?

I an not sure as my camera uses the xD cards, but they can be locked by the camera so you can't delete any photos or just certain ones. The cards are so small it is hard to even put them into the card reader so they have no switch on them. Could you have gotten your camera set to lock the pictures. If not and you close enough to your friend to see if his computer can read them. If it can, there may be a difference in the way your cameras format the cards. Like I can copy from and read a CD or DVD written by my other computer, but this one won't write to it and visa versa because they use different software which formats the CDs differently. This may ot help but is just a suggestion to see if your friends computer will read the card with your pictures.

I am not sure if this is the reason, you probably checked for this already. But on the side of the card there is a tiny switch that locks the card, to protect accidental deletion. Maybe it's on and causes the error.

confident yet you opt for the producer application put in on your workstation. get right of entry to, subsequently, would propose importing on your workstation. you need to not attempt to load photos back directly to the cardboard for 2 motives. One, once you upload them they are altered and the digital camera will no longer see them. 2, those gadgets weren't meant for records to go backward and forward. records could in trouble-free terms flow as in recording from the digital camera, importing to the workstation and then format interior the digital camera. employing the cardboard yet in a diverse way could reason it fail and then what ever is on that's long gone for ever. there is likewise yet in a diverse way. purchase a USB card reader. they are decrease priced and quite trouble-free to apply.
