I think it would be worse not to be able to trust anybody.
If you are too trusting, only a few people will hurt you. But if you trust nobody, you'll never get close to anyone.

I think it's far worse to be too trusting because you know what happens when you hand people power to destroy you, they use it. However, not being able to trust sucks too because it drives away some good people in your life, but if they really loved you, they'd stay, soooooo, I vote for being too trusting as being worse. :D

Most people are not bad people, and have a generally benign attitude towards others. It's a pity to write everyone off because of a few bad experiences.
