Have You ever seen the German movie "23" --- with this hacker-gang in Berlin-West ? And is the new movie similar to that German movie, a kind of remake !??

The movie with Jim Carrey has nothing to do with hackers, so I don't think it's a remake. "The Number 23" is about a guy who gets a book from his wife as a present called "the Number 23" as he begins reading it he realizes that the story is eerily similar to his own life. In the book the number 23 comes up a lot, and so it causes the Jim Carrey character to see different ways that number has afected his life. In the book the character kills his family, so Jim Carrey tries to change what he may do in the future.
So is that the same movie?
