Ok, I am 12 weeks pregnant, and I was laying in bed last night and my husband went to push himself to get up out of bed (we were cuddling) and accidentally pushed on the outside of my stomach near the pelvic bone. Of course he stopped immediately, and it was an accident, but that is not where the baby is right? I would estimate that it was where my left ovary would be. It did not hurt and it was two seconds because as soon as he did it he was like oh no, sorry baby, and kissed my stomach. The baby is more in the middle of my stomach correct? Thanks for your help, I know being a new mom some of my questions are unique, but your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I looked this up...hope it helps! the human female has a reproductive system located entirely in the pelvis (that's the lowest part of the abdomen). The external part of the female reproductive organs is called the vulva, which means covering. Located between the legs, the vulva covers the opening to the vagina (pronounced: vuh-jigh-nuh) and other reproductive organs located inside the body. The vagina connects with the uterus (pronounced: yoo-tuh-rus), or womb, at the cervix. The cervix has strong, thick walls. The opening of the cervix is very small (no wider than a straw), which is why a tampon can never get lost inside a girl's body. During childbirth, the cervix can expand to allow a baby to pass. The uterus is shaped like an upside-down pear, with a thick lining and muscular walls - in fact, the uterus contains some of the strongest muscles in the female body. These muscles are able to expand and contract to accommodate a growing fetus and then help push the baby out during labor. When a woman isn't pregnant, the uterus is only about 3 inches (7.5 centimeters) long and 2 inches (5 centimeters) wide.

lol.

The uterus is located just above the pubic bone, and grows upward into the abdominal cavity during pregnancy.

Trust me, you can lay on your belly, push on your belly, and as long as you are not in a great deal of pain the baby will be fine. Your body is not suddenly made of glass, its designed to take all the abuse of every day life and still produce healthy offspring.

The baby is in a very thick muscle (the uterus), floating free in a sac of fluid. Its perfectly protected.

Falling belly first down the stairs, getting punched full on in the belly, or things like that would cause a great deal of damage and possibly a miscarriage. But your man accidentally pushing on that area to get up will not harm you or baby.

You're fine momma.

I don't think you're uterus is located there. If you want to double-check, go to your doctor on your next check-up or whatever and explain the uterus thing. Your minds will defineitly feel at ease once you do.

The uterus is about 10 cm down the belly button

The uterus is just above the pubic bone as you said and as the pregnancy develops it expands upward into the abdomen. The fetus is well protected in there however and if it did not hurt you then no halm will have occurred.

at this point your uterus should be in the middle of your tummy, just above your pelvic bone. your baby is surrounded by a cushy sac of amniotic fluid. it's designed to take abuse from the outside, and your little one will be happily oblivious. the only time you should worry is if you feel a gush or steady trickle of liquid, if you're bleeding, or if you're cramping severely.

I have just givin birth to #3, don't sweat the small stuff. Don't worry Your body protects that baby. A little push on your tummy wont hurt. I had a 2 year old all over me the hole time that I was pregnant and I just had a very healthy 9lb boy. Just enjoy this time and don't worry so much.
