My Yahoo mail will only allow a certain size and although I've tried, Yahoo personnel cannot tell me how large of a file I can send.Appearantly, the only way they know how to explain is in retoric using MB's and KB's and I only want English. I have lost files or parts of a file due to the size, such as a letter to the editor of a newspaper...etc. Pando is cool but does anyone know of an alternative method or can you give me an understandable breakdown on the size cap for sending standard E-mail with Yahoo. The winning answer will receive the satisfaction in knowing that they have prevented additional gray hair from sprouting on my frustrated head and an " ATTABOY" or "ATTAGIRL".

hey guys...great answers so far and I appreciate the advice as well but how do I deternine the size in KB's & MB's. I mean, is there a setting that will show me a word count or something. Then again, how many words can fit in a "B". Sorry, this reminds me of 10th grade Algebra. I never really cared how many marbles Joey had when he found he had a hole in his pocket. He rode his "Byte" home the same as always. He started with 17 "MB's" and peddled normally on the 24 "GB" ride where he lost 16 "KB's". LOL

DropSend (www.dropsend.com) has a good reputation for allowing what you want to do. They have a 250MB limit on the free account, which should allow you to email most documents, powerpoint presentations, etc. (By the way, "MB" and "KB" are critical in describing file size; to try to explain size limits without them is to describe the weight of something without "pounds" or "kilos".)

Yahoo allows you to email 10 MB maximum. Using "MB" and "KB" is unavoidable - it's the way to measure a file's size. In order to be sure your message can go through, you should check the size of the file you want to send. When a size of an attachment is too big, Yahoo will simply not send it, you won't be able to send only a part of a message.
I have only sent larger files (over 10 MB) via IM, not as an email, so I can't recommend anything that would help you in that regard.
One other important thing you should be aware of is that if you're sending a large file, the other person might not get it if there's not enough space in his/her mailbox.

i have not in any respect gotten that one previously, notwithstanding it truly is humorous. i'm a Christian, one among Jehovah's Witnesses. i ask your self if the senders actual imagine we do not pass out throughout iciness. i recognize from my personal frozen butt that AIN'T real:D i do not recognize why you obtain it, notwithstanding it sounds like they're only attempting to make themselves, or in all likelihood himself seem solid. I were given an digital mail no longer before promoting for some meant team that ought to quickly be "exposing" my beliefs everywhere in the media. I waited, no longer some thing occurred. no longer brilliant. in all likelihood only a crackpot.
