Yes you can . since it is time consuming and it needs a bit of practice, this method is not feasable if you need to express milk regularly and is more often used to relieve engorgement or when you need to use your milk to rub it over sore or cracked nipples.

This is how you can express milk by hand:

* Wash your hands before you start.
* Then, place your thumb and your fingers across from each other at the edge of the areola, and squeeze, pushing your fingers back against the chest wall, to express the milk.
* If your areolas are large, position your fingers so they're at least an inch behind the nipple.
* Use any wide-mouth container to collect the milk

Hope this helps.
Good luck

Yes you can and have done it several times when I didn't have a machine around. It is much harder and does take a little longer but still produces as much milk as with machine.

Yes she sure can! Some mothers actually have more success by hand expressing because they have better control and also it is a more stimulating experience! It will take a bit of determination, information and support to be able to do it but it DEFINITELY IS POSSIBLE!

You can manually express milk, there are techniques to do this, but the amount you get will not be much and catching it is a real dilemma.
It will, however help you continue to lactate if you need to be away from baby. Or it can alleviate fullness.

yes you can it takes a little longer but is less painful than most machines... once you get a rhythm and it starts flowing good it is simple... I was able to do this, to start you might want a small dish and then you can pour it into a bottle- Good luck and congrats

It's really not likely that you can do that. A machine works a t a greater suction speed than your hands. You can try it, just be ready to sit and squeeze all day.
