hello, I am moving to orlando from ohio. I have been trying to find a apt. but I dont want it to be in a bad area. Which are the bad areas. Is MetroWest bad. I have been looking at Metro Place in Metro West. Do you know how that area is please help me.

MetroWest is nice. There are lots of nice places, but plenty of bad ones too. Just stay out of these areas: Pine Hills, Oak Ridge, Tangelo Park, anywhere directly off of Orange Blossom Trail.
Pretty much any other area is fine. Just check the pictures of any partments, there are a lot of new ones in nice areas, like MetroWest, but anything that looks old and run-down is probably in the ghetto. Good luck!

I live in Metrowest and I really love it- currently they aree building a whole new little area in Metrowest called Verandah Park. Metrowest is nice- there is some crime here but no more than anywhere else.
Metroplace is nice- but there are lots of places here that are nicer. I like Marina Landing and the Greens at Metrowest. Or- to live just a 1/2 mile outside of the Metrowest entrance is Montevista and Twelve Oaks.
Do your best to avoid anything right on Kirkman though- those places seem to be constant targets for crime.

Metro west is a nice area and close by to Universal Studios.

I watched MetroWest get built. At the time, it was one of the largest construction projects to take place in Orlando. It's not bad, but don't go much further north to Crime Hills. Where will you be working? With the Orlando traffic as bad as it is, I'd look at living as close to the workplace as possible. Consider the east end of town, or go as far southwest as your pocketbook will allow.
