On many occasions, but particularly in his televised address on December 16, 1998, Bill Clinton stated that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, including Nukes and Chemical weapons and had already used them against his own people. He was so convinced of his assertion that he ordered air strikes on Iraq to destroy these alleged weapons.

As part of the change of administration, the sitting Prez informs the Prez elect concerning all national security matters. Was a portion, or all, of Bush's "bad intelligence" based on info from the Clinton administration? Further, Hillary said she voted for the war because she had "reviewed all the intelligence personally". Is it possible she did so while her husband was in office?

This is NOT a question of if Bush is a better pres than Clinton. Nor is it a question of who is to 'blame' for the war. Some of you are so defensive about Pres Clinton's role in this matter that it is obvious you believe he was somehow complicit.

One person indicated Clinton told Bush not to invade Iraq. That is simply not true (check CNN archives). Clinton did not invade simply because he was afraid of the political fall out by his "wagging the dog" appearence to deflect from Lewinsky.

The question is important is because liberals sayiBUSH LIED about WMDs in Iraq. My question is "didn't his bad info come primarily from Clinton intelligence" and, I believe there is good reason to believe it did. If so, the liberal statement should be "CLINTON AND BUSH LIED" instead of the libs, led by the liberal media, accusing Bush of being the sole arbitor of this war.

Relative to WMDs, the IAEA quietly removed 1.77 metric tons of nuke material in 04, proving WMDs did exist there.

There is absolutaly no question that Iraq had WMD and did in fact use it against its own people The question was when and if it was disposed of. Frankly I think it suprised everybody that none was found. Of course Saddam could always have stopped playing cat and mouse with the weapons inspectors and proved it.

Oh well.

This is what irks me about republicans. Break something and then attack to lay blame everywhere else; you guys cannot take responsability for your own actions.
Even if Clinton gave Bush that intellligence(which I give you was the generally accepted theory at the time); it was still the incompetence of George Bush to go in on the ground. It was widely known that going in was a bad idea. It's why his dad didnt go in in the first gulf war and why Clinton didn't invade them. Go rewatch the movie "3 Kings". It came out in the late 90's and they discuss so many things that are a problem now in Iraq. If it was in a movie, how could Bush jr. have not known?

that is what we've come to call the media-business complicated, somewhat of reporting on some thing major that the persons will be outraged through, they opt for to record on ridiculous issues that are overglorified cleansing soap operas. imagine lower back. lots of the most lined matters over the former few years were Brittany(sp?) Spears, Anna Nicole Smith(which become milked for months and months), Paris Hilton, and one yet another non-sequitor travesty that we've filled down our throats. it is accessible, because it serves to throw the wide-spread public's interest to a distinct problem. meanwhile, pass some insane guidelines and be conscious who notices a twelve months later even as it is too late. we are tense about guns of Mass destruction? i'm tense about guns of mass distraction.

Apparantly Sandy Burger, a long time family friend of George Bush, hid classified secret documents that showed that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and instead told Clinton that there were.

Probably. And I would like to remind you of the fact that when Theodoros Pangalos was Greece's foreign minister, he described that "owner of the zipper" as a shameless lier. A few days or weeks later, he admitted he had an "inappropriate relationship" with miss Lewinsky", after declaring, about half a year earlier: "Look me into my eyes! I didn't have any sexual relationship with that woman etc.".

Lots of what if's there, my friend.

History is based in FACT, as are accusations. One could look through the entire history as documented and drive themselves crazy asking "What if. . .?"

In this question, you accuse BC of passing on bad Intel knowingly (which you don't know for a fact - you "speculate"), and allowing his wife to view classified information (which again you don't know for a fact). Those are 2 very serious things to accuse someone of without knowing anything.

When you have the proof of the things you are insinuating, come back on and share. . . Until then, please stick to what you know for sure.

Thank you for your time. Have a nice day!!

You know she viewed this while in office. Her office was right next to Bills. She set it up that way. The fact is that both presidents and congress received their information from the same sources.
