you have to start thinking about your self

Depends on whether you want to be taken for granted or not.
If you don't, let whoever you think is taking you for granted know what's up. Make sure your boundaries are known and respected. Make sure that you're being treated the way you treat others. If the parties involved don't treat you right afterwards, let them go.
However, it may just be twisted perception. Make sure that it's not just a big head you're carrying on your shoulders.
If you are being taken for granted, there's always ignoring reality and living a lie. That seems to work for the majority of the population. You may wanna try that. (jfwy)
Peace.

Is this where I admit my deep seated feelings of inadequacy, and admit that I feel like I cant function properly unless I'm the submissive partner in a relationship, even though doing so fills me with a great feeling of impotent rage for which I feel I have no outlet, and of self loathing, that I cannot be a stronger person, and stand up to my tormentor.
And you look pensive, draw in an almost silent breath, and then say 'I think we're really making some progress... Now, if you'll tell me about You...' ?

I simply move forward and do the things I know I need to get done, having faith in God that He sees me and considers me precious no matter what. I am through with doing what others think I should be doing, I am focusing on what God wants me to be doing and what I need to do as a mother and that's it. I may stumble and falter because I am nowhere near perfect, but looking to God is the only way I can keep going...

I'm taken for granted at work, everyone assumes i'll do as they ask. one day i'll turn round and say no.. then they will respect me.
You gotta do the same, who ever it is, turn round to them and say no (or depending on the situation, say you'll do it later when you've gotten time)
If its a guy then do something outragious, or stand them up or something! lol

Above all... be strong!

Tell them that you can't do whatever it is that they are asking and don't feel guilty about it. They will only keep doing it until you do, making you feel angry and resentful. Not very healthy.
