don't take any herbal supplements, and also avoid herbal teas. some herbs have been known to cause miscarriage or preterm labor. and others have just not been tested well enough to know either way. the amount of herbs traditionally used in cooking, however, is usually not enough to cause problems.

No caffeine...and don't stress about it, that can cause a miscarriage too. It was probably not the food you ate that caused the miscarriage, there could have been something wrong with the embryo, not what you were eating. I had a miscarriage when I was 20 then at 26 I carried to term, I am 32 now and have 2 girls. I never changed what I ate or the bad habits.
My friend had 5 miscarriages before she had a healthy baby girl, she just never gave up and kept trying. good luck, I wish you well.

What you eat as far as food doesnt cause miscarriages. Thats a misconception people have about how the digestive tract and the things in it effects the pregnant body.
Even the things you drink, including alcohol, (while TERRIBLE FOR THE BABY) dont cause miscarriage.
Things you eat and drink can cause birth defects.
Eat healthy, stay fit, and drink a lot of water, your body simply uses much more water when pregnant than usual. You dont realize you're dehydrated, and lack of water can cause contractions.
Avoid eating wild caught fish, most sea food, and drinking stimulants like caffiene and alcohol.

Sometimes miscarriage can be an environmental issue, eg lead based paints being removed in your vicinity. Some fish and seafood can have high levels of heavy metals that can cause miscarriage.

the food you eat won't cause a miscarriage. most miscarriages are caused by a genetic defect.
