i do ww11 re enactment and have obtained webbing which has been blancoed green ,and wish to get it back to its original sandy colour can anyone advise

Blanco can be scrubbed off withsoap and water. It won't be sandy, but you can work down to a lighter green. Or get it as light as you can, then let dry out and see if you can get a sandy blanco from a surplus store. Intersestingly enough, blanco means
white and the first belts were made white. Then green was used as it was a bit more camouflagey. In the tanks, we boot polished them black! (they got dirty mucking about in tanks etc, so in the end it was decided to blacken them.
