So, if there is a question in a quiz. What is the largest island in the world? Would "Australia" be a correct answer.

Australia is on it's own tectonic continental plate, so it's more properly thought of as a continent, rather than a large island.

It's officially categorised as a continent, but there is really no difference geologically speaking between it and a large island like Madagascar.

continent i guess officially.there prime minister met the queen recently and asked can we become a principality,the queen informed him no you don't have a prince so you cant become a principality,well can we become the kingdom of Australia.no you cant you don't have a king.i should just stay a cuntry
