Well my daddy past away on Valentine's Day 3 yrs. ago. My daughter gave a rose and it brought back a very special memory. I was 10 yrs. and I was crying because my sister got roses from her boyfriend. So, my daddy went out in front yard and cut a rose off the rose bush for me. And he said to me it's from daddy not a yucky boy. I said to him I would rather get a rose from him than a yucky boy. I went to the cemetery and gave my daddy the rose my daughter gave. I was sad all day until all this happened. That's a memory I will never forget.

Endless summer days hiking in the woods with my faithful mutt - stooping by swimming holes and fishing spots and doing whatever we thought up in the moment. That freedom and solitude seems so rare in life now but I can still draw upon it from the lifelong memories of those sacred summer days.
