You only need a coolant flush about every 50,000 miles or so. I never hear the term "glumpy", but unless they messed something up doing it last summer, you shouldn't need another one for a while (unless you drive a lot).

A squeal could be a loose belt (simple or cheap to tighten) and a tap could be anything. Neither sound would be caused by your coolant system though.

Take it to someone that knows cars and have them listen.

All vehicles require a 50/50 mix of coolant and water.
If your vehicle is squeeling and tapping, I would think you have a bigger problem than your cooling system. A locked-up water pump could cause the belt to squeel, but I can't figure out what the tapping could be.

Check the Level. You really don't need a flush unless the job was improperly don or did not flush enough of the old cooalnt out.

Replace your Belts for the squealing noise.
Taps???? Could be a worn belt.

Could be a Hydrolic lifter. Check all your fluid Levels.

it sounds like you have a lose belt and your coolant just needs changed once a year unless you have ran it hot lately . i would spend a little money and have a mechanic check it out. by the way antifreeze is also coolant you use it year round .
