Personally i think he is a total waste of space. He is foul-mouthed and seems to have one thing on his mind. I was listening to him last night and everything he said had something to do with genitals, sex etc. What is wrong with the guy. Is he now a good example for the British children. I don't thinks so and you??

What a totally embarassing twit he is.
He spoiled the Brits for me. I was watching it
with my two teenage grandchildren and they couldn't
believe what he was allowed to get away with. They
refused to watch Big Brothers little brother because he
was so crude. He needs to grow up.

I like him - I went to see him live and he was brilliant - very clever and quick thinking intelligent show. I wouldn't recommend children watch it but he doesn't usually appear before the watershed (apart from last night which was a bit of a risk...) and children shouldn't be allowed to watch then anyway if the adults feel he's unsuitable. I agree he isn't a good example to children - be they British or not but they aren't the target audience.

I think it's good that there are lots of different comics about as it would be dull if everyone was the same and liked the same thing. Variety is the spice of life - it makes things more interesting.

Personally I can't stand Jonathon Ross. I think he likes the sound of his own voice too much and spends most of his telly show looking into the camera with a look on his face that says 'aren't I just the funniest thing ever?'.

But I just don't watch when he's on.

Here's a disagree, I think he's a more interesting proposition than the current flurry of media interest represents. He's in danger of over-exposure but he has a creative way with words that's unusual in performers.

I think he's a great example for British children, not that he's trying to be one of course. When he talks about his drug problems he does so eloquently and insightfully and without prejudice (which I believe to be the best way). He talks about sex in a way that demystifies and ridicules the importance that we place on it - again, a good thing when other influences (I'm thinking rap music) present it as the be all and end all.

Although I will add that he's much funnier when he can't swear and has to come up with more inventive ways of expressing himself.

Who is "russell brand"? I know who JW's are but who's russell? That's nice he talks about the Bible frequently, I hope he speaks truth about it, rather than saying bad things. Anyone can change if they want to. There's still time to return to God. Isaiah 55:7 says: ..."Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way."

I can't stand the man. His jokes last night were below the belt, and just not funny at all. A lot of kids have bought the albums of the singers that were up for awards last night and were probably watching, I think he was the wrong person to host these awards.

He can be really funny at times, but like after the 9/11 gag, he can be a prat. But like some of you are saying he is amusing when not resorting to swearing.

This 'comedian' is up there with the 'greats' ...NOT!! like Hale and Pace, Reeves and Mortimer, Harry Hill. They should all be done under trade descriptions for describing themselves as comedians' Brand seems to be taking off Jack Sparrow. He's about as funny as sticking a pin in your eye.

He is a man to think that paedophiles and child killers are funny, he did a routine at a charity event that made jokes about the deaths of Holly and Jessica, and the Moors Murders, it's vile, he deserves to be banned from TV for making sick jokes like that, imagine your child had been raped and murdered by a paedophile, and you saw him making jokes about it, how disgusting can you get. They say Jade is an embarrassment to the UK, well he is far worse than her.

I think he's the most original guy out there, he's just hilarious.

Yes, he does have a very dirty sense of humour, but he's not exactly aimed at young children is he?? I mean you could say the same about most comedians.

But i respect your opinion, he is contreversial.
