Seriously, the selection committee would just be letting them in based on their name.

well after losing 4 in a row it doesntt seem like it, but they will win enough by the end of the season, they will probably reach 20. even if they dont do that good they will probably still get in just becasue theyre duke. im guessing that they will get about 20 wins, but get a better seed than they disserve.

I dont think that they would be let in just because of the name on the jersey. Lets not forget that duke didnt make the tourney in the mid 90s when coach K was out for half the season and this was after they had won two titles back to back and gone to the final 4 7 out of 9 yrs. There is precident for a nationally known team not making the field. That said I think Duke will make the field this year based on their record and strength of schedule. Their RPI is 4th in the nation which means they have the 4th hardest schedule. Three of their four loses were by a total of nine points to serious contenders (eg. VT, UNC) and they have quality wins against Gonzaga and BC and even came close to beating UNC. THey wont be a high seed in the tourney (maybe an 8 or 9) but they will go.

My feeling is if they aren't playing up to the standard of what the tournament is all about then they should not be let in. Just because they are Duke they will more then likely get in. Even if they don't deserve it. Hope this helps.

Based on their name and tradition, yes they will go to the NCAA tournament. I know 18-7 seems like a bad record, but remember the Dukies have spoiled us for a long time and most teams would be thrilled to have that record. In all seriousness, if the system worked how it's supposed to I would believe they would have to make the ACC tournament finals to have a shot.

If Duke played in any conference other than the ACC they'd be in the top 10. The ACC is the toughest conference, hands down. The ACC deserves to have their top 6 teams in, but they'll probably only get 4, and then some other conferences will get teams in that don't have a snowball's chance in hell. So yes, they should get in.

Sorry, yet there is no way Michigan belongs in the NCAA adventure. RPI score in the severe 50s, a weak non-convention agenda, and finished eighth in the tremendous Ten with 12 common losses at the same time with getting blown out in maximum video games they performed vs. the precise 50. i might want to complication about a 25-6 Vermont getting disregarded.

duke definantly deserves to be in the tournament. this is a very young team. they are starting two freshmen two sophs and a junior. with that aspect they are doing okay. they got the win over BC last night and they really made UNC work hard. if they can be competitive with a top 10 team, they have a chance to win the tourney. and duke is always my team.

There is still alot more basketball to be played. They beat B.C. last night & the ACC tourny is coming up. It just depends on how those games end up. But as of now no I can't let them in just because they are Duke. And Im a huge Duke fan.

They finish with an above 500 conference record and win 20 games they will be in and not just cuz they are Duke alot of teams make it with those stats.

Ya I think they do. I am a serious Duke Hater but I think that they have enough quality wins to get in. Their schedule is also pretty tough. I was sorta iffy going in to last nights game but they were slaughtering BC for most of that game. It was an impressive win.
